RE: Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix - TheWiz - 06-09-2011 Hi Everyone, I will release an update to the patch that will hopefully resolve these issues. Thanks, TheWiz RE: Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix - TheWiz - 06-09-2011 Here is the updated patch download link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1525839/Programs/EAW%20%2B%20FOC%20Patch.exe Please ensure you are running the program as administrator on Windows XP by right clicking the EXE and hitting "Run as..." and then selecting Administrator. If you are still unable to run the patch please notify and I will post the steps for manual patching. Thanks, TheWiz RE: Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix - DeltaSalamence - 07-01-2011 I have tried your first and last patch. Neither worked for me. Before, when I signed in to the Multiplayer, I could still move my mouse, but now the whole thing freezes, in both Safe Mode and Regular. My team and I have tried everything tampering with this problem (I don't want to get too complicated just yet). Please help me with another patch, I'll be happy to provide you with any information needed. -I play EAW only. -This is the CD-ROM version. Thanks, -DeltaSalamence _________________________________________________________ ~~~~The Programming Team~~~~ RE: Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix - NewAlex - 09-19-2011 I manage to fix it as 19/09/2011, after a fustrating evening trying to fix it I finaly done it, doing the following steps. 1º windows update or the security essensials deleted the hosts file(vista/7) and thats why you have the error trying to patch it. 2º open notepad as administrador and copy/paste the following : 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost 127.0.0.1 host42.hrwebservices.net 127.0.0.1 rdr2ps3.ms4.gamespy.com127.0.0.1 host42.hrwebservices.net 127.0.0.1 rdr2ps3.ms4.gamespy.com 127.0.0.1 match.gta4ps3.gamespy.com 127.0.0.1 *.ms4.gamespy.com 127.0.0.1 207.38.11.34 127.0.0.1 Owner-PC.gateway.2wire.net 3º save it as hosts(do not save it as hosts.txt, only hosts whidout any extention) and move it to the windows/system32/drivers/etc 4º no need to patch it again since it have all info 5º enjoy the game, and fuck lucas arts for not supporting the best star wars game. A Empire at war 2 would easily beat starcraft2 RE: Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix - jiso - 10-23-2011 I'm definitely going to need manual patch instructions. I tried safe mode, system32 ownership/settings (though some files wouldn't untick "read only" - might that be the cause?), administrator rights; all to no avail. Thank you again for your help thus far. Again, my drive is now designated "H:" after having reformatted. I'm running XP Home, btw. Malfunction.... error error error :P - Deathicon123 - 10-07-2013 It dident work for me i use windows 7 it dident do a thing > can you fix that? |
