Great to hear from you again.

Are there version of the Truckee Mobo that are known NOT to have problems?
I bought a 9280t on 11/05/2009. And have read nothing but horror stories about it since. I haven't found anything on my particular version: 594415-001 REV:E01 with American Megatrends BIOS Rev: 5.29 dated 09/17/10. (Core Version 08.00.15). Everything I've read refer to the boards versions' as either 1.0n or A0n revisions.
I've been lucky so far, I haven't had any notable problems. I don't know if it's because I managed to get a rare board that actually works as designed and/or because I primarily run LINUX.
Like I said no problems yet, but if there's a chance it could still fail, I'm going to want to add my name to the Class Action Suit being brought against HP.

I've got the 9280t and it does not have the same problems that the 9180 series had. You should be OK. Let us know if problems show up, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.
