How do you parse HTML in Java? - charlesedwin - 12-28-2009
How should you decide which HTML parser to use? And, not the proliferation of HTML parser out there means that there is something wrong with the JDK HTML parser, javax.swing.text.html.HTMLEditorKit.Parser?

It depends on what you want to do. And you should use what works best, of course. I usually do not eventually make best use of their libraries to any Java project.
Basically, the few times I had to do with HTML, wanted to be able to treat it as a DOM tree so I ended up jtidy. This allowed me to use simple XPath pick up the pieces of HTML code.
